What the common room screen takes off your plate

Together at the screen

In Music Decades, the group matches music, fashion and events to their decade—and whoever recognizes the sixties may have a story to go with it. Two residents play Nine Men's Morris against each other, or one plays with a grandchild on a Sunday visit.

Just a finger, no sign-in

Everything is played right on the touchscreen: no keyboard, no account, no personal data. An activity aide starts a round of True or False, and anyone who wants to can tap along.

Nothing to copy or laminate

Daily Quiz asks five changing questions, the channels update themselves, and in winter everyone decorates the Winter Village together. For your activities team, that means less time hunting for printables, copying and cutting.

Six games for the common room

A board game, two quiz formats, matching things to decades, growing flowers and lighting up a village in winter: the games run on Starter and up, also together in one Game Box.

  • Music Decades

Match music, fashion and events to the right decade.

  • Nine Men's Morris

What you should know

What does contboxx cost for a nursing home?

You can test the channels on the Free plan at no cost and without a credit card, with a small daily allowance of requests. The games, from Nine Men's Morris to Winter Village, more requests per day and screens in other living areas come with Starter, Basic and Professional; Enterprise is available on request.

What do we need technically in the common room?

A touchscreen with a digital signage system or player that displays web pages. Enter the URL from the dashboard there—for example, for a Game Box with several games and a tile menu. After a quiet spell, it returns to the menu on its own. We don't sell hardware.

Does Music Decades play music?

No. Music Decades doesn't play any music: the group matches music, objects, fashion or events to the right decade. The other games on this page and the widgets have no sound either. contboxx doesn't replace a music license for your own program.

Are these brain games for people with dementia?

No. We don't claim any effect on memory or dementia for these games. They're meant as activities and conversation material for the group. Whether a game suits a particular resident is for you and your team to decide—just like any other activity.
